I installed this product, let the battery fully charge, then drained it and recharged again. I wanted to make sure that the battery would continue to recharge to 100%. After a couple of drains it stopped charging to 100% and the percentage that it would charge to continued to drop. I returned this item and spent the extra money to order my battery from HP.

Batteries should at least a year (the original batter lasted 2 years). This one failed in less than 6 months and the seller, PWR+, is not interested in resolving the problem. I think the battery could have been used, counterfeit or refurbished, but the description says 'HP' which sugggests its genuine.

the lap top battey only charged three times then died, it now will not charge. i used my old battery when i had the lap top plugged in to save the new battery. i contacted smart parts and was told i could not return it after 90 days and i had it 92 days. so if you really want to order from smart parts be sure to check it out so you can return it within the 90 days. 75 bucks thrown away.

The battery I purchased works really well. It can hold a charge for 2+ hours. So much better than my other battery that was almost 2 years old and only lasted for about 30-45 minutes.

I'm not totally convinced that the battery I purchased is a genuine HP product even though the ad led me to believe it to be so. There are a couple of words that are misspelled that make me question who actually manufactured the battery.

I purchased this laptop to replace a desktop PC that is old and slow. The new laptop is nice and much faster than the old machine.

Pros: The keyboard has a nice smooth feel and is quiet, the PC is fairly fast starting and running.

Cons: The shiny finish inside and out shows fingerprints and smudges and it's hard to keep it looking nice.

The shiny screen surface picks up glares and reflections, making it difficult to use in some lighting situations.

Battery life is not what I had expected, realistically it will run 2-1/2 to 3 hours max on the battery. I expected closer to 4 hours, but it does not have that kind of life.

It is not as fast as some of the reviews I read before buying it indicated. It took more than 3 hours to get through the initial startup, including burning recovery DVDs, etc. It starts and is ready to use in about 90 to 100 seconds, a great improvement over our old PC, but never in 30 seconds as one review stated.

Of course we are still learning Windows 7, and have some frustrations in finding that things that were simple to do in Windows XP are sometimes impossible under Windows 7, or if there is a way, we haven't figured it out yet, but that's nothing related to this product. Some of the HP Assistant softwqare that comes preloaded can be a bit intrusive, which is specific to this product. Overall, I'm pleased with the selection and of course Amazon is the best place to buy iy!

I find this product way better than the original HP battery pack. One full charge lasts almost 2 hours on my laptop unlike the original HP which lasts only 30~40 mins (sucks). Moreso, it costs 1/2 less than the HP pack which is also made in China. Definitely a good buy and will recommend to others!

I bought this battery several weeks ago and it seems to be an excellent buy. The HP website sells this for almost 3x as much and it is a different style then this one. Under typical classroom use I can get 3 hours out of it in my tx2z. Also note the difference in capacity between this and the OEM 8 cell battery (63 versus 73 mAh). So far my laptop hasn't exploded or done any of the other terrible things people say non OEM batteries do. Even if this battery lasts half the time of HP's battery it is well worth it.

Do not buy a battery from them. The battery arrived in a timely fashion and worked great at first. After about 4 months i notice the battery wont fully charge, it always stops at 95% percent, but i thought no biggie until is started dropping by 5 percent every like 2 weeks. I still have the battery and it only charges up to 50 percent now and takes about 5 minutes to run out. I ordered a new battery from a different seller, hopefully this one works out.

This charger worked for 6 months until the cord shorted out. The actual AC adapter still works, but the cord that runs from the outlet to the adapter died. Since I can't find anywhere to just buy the cord without the adapter, I have to buy a whole new charger. I will NOT be purchasing this charger again. You get what you pay for.

Don't buy this item. I've only had mine a few month and it's gone. After about a month I noticed the wires were coming lose connecting the plug to the cord. I used some electrical tape to try to patch it up but now it has completely broken off. I don't unplug and plug in my computer alot either so it was just a cheaply made product. I wish I had spent the money on a authentic cord because then I wouldn't have to buy another one at this point.
