I brought this batery because the price was good and they said it was HP part or at least it looks like a HP part. However, this charger only last 4 months and the wire on one side that connect to the batery is loose and it will not charge anymore. Do not buy this item. its very cheap quality. I guess that is the reason the price drop 50% since I brought it.

Knock-off brick, not HP. BUT it does the job and doesn't get any warmer than the original did. I have no problem with it staying plugged into the computer or wall. I'd buy it again, the price was great.
