I purchased this laptop for my son who is going off to collage in a week. This is a good product with great all round features and performance and that too at a very reasonable price. The only wish I had was that HP had used a better quality plastic for the body and used matte finish instead of glossy finish

Apart from its good looks the features on this laptop are awesome. It does what it says it would do and works well. The keypad keys are soft and the touch screen in it works excellent. I have had my laptop for 3 weeks now and I cannot seem to put it down even when I do not have something to do I find something to do on it.Great Buy.

The reason I got this item is that I expected the laptop to be a good buy for the price.
So far, I was correct in that point. Without the annoying download options of HP, it will be better.
I recommend it to whoever wish to buy a professional looking laptop with a relatively low price.

I purchased this laptop to replace a desktop PC that is old and slow. The new laptop is nice and much faster than the old machine.
Pros: The keyboard has a nice smooth feel and is quiet, the PC is fairly fast starting and running.
Cons: The shiny finish inside and out shows fingerprints and smudges and it's hard to keep it looking nice.
The shiny screen surface picks up glares and reflections, making it difficult to use in some lighting situations.
Battery life is not what I had expected, realistically it will run 2-1/2 to 3 hours max on the battery. I expected closer to 4 hours, but it does not have that kind of life.
It is not as fast as some of the reviews I read before buying it indicated. It took more than 3 hours to get through the initial startup, including burning recovery DVDs, etc. It starts and is ready to use in about 90 to 100 seconds, a great improvement over our old PC, but never in 30 seconds as one review stated.
Of course we are still learning Windows 7, and have some frustrations in finding that things that were simple to do in Windows XP are sometimes impossible under Windows 7, or if there is a way, we haven't figured it out yet, but that's nothing related to this product. Some of the HP Assistant softwqare that comes preloaded can be a bit intrusive, which is specific to this product. Overall, I'm pleased with the selection and of course Amazon is the best place to buy iy!

I bought this laptop about 3 months ago and i can honestly say it's worth every penny i paid for it. I got it on sale for US$649.99, I confess i hesitated about the price as it was out of my budget but i'm very happy with it. Extreamly fast and can do many task at the same time without slowing down. The design is awsome!!!! I highly recomend it if you are looking great performance for entertainment purposes
